Yesterday, the Lishui Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism, and Sports announced that Zhejiang Province has recently launched 17 premium spring rural tourism routes, linking scenic floral attractions to showcase the “Four Seasons of Rural Charm in Poetic Zhejiang”. Among them, two routes from Lishui were selected: the “Floating Red Clouds · Enchanting Peach Blossoms” tour in Liandu District and the “Leisurely Stroll in Qing Village · Flower Viewing and Spring Appreciation” tour in Qingtian County.
The “Floating Red Clouds · Enchanting Peach Blossoms” route in Liandu District spans approximately 50 kilometers and is designed as a one-day trip. Starting from downtown Liandu, the route passes through scenic spots such as Xiandu Township, the Lingtou Village Peach Blossom Base, Damu Mountain Tea Plantation, and the Meitian Ancient Trail, culminating at the terraced peach blossom fields in Shangjinzhu Village, Yaxi Town. This itinerary integrates Xiandu Township’s ecological resources, Lingtou Village’s vast peach blossom vistas, and Damu Mountain’s organic tea gardens. The ancient villages along the Meitian Ancient Trail and the expansive terraced peach blossom fields complement each other, highlighting Liandu’s rustic yet romantic rural charm.
The “Leisurely Stroll in Qing Village · Flower Viewing and Spring Appreciation” route in Qingtian County covers about 150 kilometers and is recommended as a two-day, one-night excursion. Beginning at Xiaozhoushan Township’s multicolored rapeseed flower fields, the route connects attractions like Beishan Town’s Shilingtou Peach Blossom Base and Hongfuqian Village’s rapeseed fields, ending at Kaokeng Ancient Village, a provincial 3A-level scenic village. This route emphasizes the distinctive character of Qingtian as a hometown of overseas Chinese. Xiaozhoushan Township has created a “natural palette” using yellow, purple, white, and other colored rapeseed varieties, while Kaokeng Ancient Village preserves 28 Ming- and Qing-era stone houses, forming a unique cultural landscape. In addition to sightseeing, visitors can enjoy Qingtian coffee, sample traditional “Guoshi” cakes, and savor fish head dishes from Qianxia Lake.
To promote the unique spring allure of Lishui City, the municipal cultural and tourism authorities have, since March, conducted promotional campaigns in Wenzhou, Jinhua, Taizhou, and other cities to attract visitors to the spring tourism market. Centered on themes such as flower viewing, tea picking, spring outings, family activities, and folk culture, five spring-themed routes have been introduced, warmly inviting tourists to explore Lishui.
According to big data monitoring (mobile + telecom signaling) by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Lishui received 8.054 million tourist visits from January to March 2025, marking an 11.3% year-on-year increase. Among these, spring flower-viewing and outing trips emerged as a popular choice for travelers.
A spokesperson from the Lishui Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism, and Sports stated that, moving forward, the city will continue to roll out a series of flower-themed cultural and tourism activities around key holidays such as the May Day break. Efforts will focus on enhancing online marketing, improving transportation links, dining, and accommodation services, ensuring visitors not only enjoy the floral landscapes but also experience local traditions and delicacies, fully immersing themselves in Lishui’s ecological and cultural appeal.
